This is a great book about a falcon named Frightful who was captured and trained by a boy from the day she was ten days old. In this book she is released into the wild and has to struggle in a world so completely different from her own. She must learn to hunt and feed herself, how to find a mate, and how to raise young-- things she has never done before. One thing that really confuses her is that other animals steal her food, when in the past she never had any competition.
This is a great book for people who like to learn about falcons.JCH
